If you need a heart-warming story, here's one for you. This shepard/golden mix was running with his owner when she fell, bounced off three 10-20 foot drops, and broke her hip. He slept with her the first night helping to keep her warm. The second night he took off, went back to the trailhead and led the rescuers straight back to her when they arrived - a five mile trip.
